What Should I Expect?
#1 Professional From the Beginning Until the End
The process of a new build requires careful planning and a strong initiative for manufacturing, construction, and installation. Whether you have a residential or commercial building in mind, it is always helpful to know what to expect in the next coming weeks or months.
Phase 1: Temporary Electric Conduit – Phase one is what electricians call the “wet phase.” This phase will mainly focus on the building’s foundation. A generator can be used as a temporary power source. However, for plumbing and draining purposes, electrical conduits are also used.
Phase 2: Rough-In – HVAC ready? We know so! The rough phase of an electric construction is once flooring and all other features and add-ons are installed. Our APEX professional electricians will work on the circuit wiring and work on putting all necessary lighting up such as exhaust fans, cans, and soffits.
Phase 3: Temporary Needs – Temporary lighting will be installed once the sheetrock is in place. The process will only rely on small details with sheetrock mud and paint. Temporary and temperature control systems are included and can be seen during electric construction.
Phase 4: The Finish – During the final homestretch of finishing phase four, you will see big changes come together. Things like installation of lights, ceilings, floors, and cabinets to name a few as well as external electrical items are available after this phase. Considering the space, materials, and any minor issues, the process varies over time. You should talk to your contractor about the estimated date of completion for your project.
Modifications and Warranty – With all of the hard work finished, the electric construction side of things is complete. However, before giving it a go, your contractor will first want to test everything beforehand. While the electrician is testing everything out, this is your time to look out for miswirings or if you want to add on any electrical outlets this is when you will let your electrician know of any changes you want made. Looking over the warranty period will also help get a better understanding of when and how to contact owners for any additional changes or repairs.
